Russell Brunson created ClickFunnels. The co-founder of GrooveFunnels, Mike Filsaime and Russell Brunson, goes way back. They were good friends, but Russell tricked Mike Filsaime into promoting ClickFunnels on Karta (Mike also created Kartra). That’s when their real rivalry started. 

Apart from this back story, ClickFunnels is a fantastic tool that helps online marketers create websites that actually convert. In the beginning, ClickFunnels was a sales funnel builder, but later on, they introduced various features such as email marketing, affiliate management system, course hosting platform, shopping cart & checkout system, and webinar hosting platform.

In this section, I am going to compare the features of GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels.

1. Sales Funnel

GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels offer similar sales funnel-building features, but GrooveFunnels offers more features for it. You can sell almost anything GrooveFunnels. You can find various templates and pre-made landing pages on GroovePages. It is best for online marketers, bloggers, affiliate marketers, ecommerce store owners, etc.

To grow your email list, add opt-in forms when creating landing pages with GrooveFunnels. Once you get emails through landing pages, then handle them through GrooveMail. They also give you a 20-40% commission whenever someone joins GrooveFunnels using your affiliate link.

ClickFunnels is on the top list only because of its unique features. You can sell your products, courses, coaching, software, webinar, etc., with ClickFunnels. Create a landing page & a sales funnel to start selling your products with ClickFunnels right away. You can find a vast library of templates on ClickFunnels.

Its drag and drop editor allows you to create lead capture funnels, membership funnels, survey funnels, product launch funnels, and so on. ClickFunnels has a robust and perfectly designed drag & drop editor. You can create highly converting sales funnels in just a few minutes. Their ready-made templates are entirely customizable. You get to use over 18 widgets & elements to create a personalized sales page. It also allows you to perform A/B testing on your pages.

Verdict: Both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have similar drag & drop editors. But GrooveFunnels is much better than ClickFunnels when it comes to usability & design. There is only one flaw with GrooveFunnels’ editor is that you don’t get the A/B testing feature that ClickFunnels offers.

3. Sell Products

GrooveFunnels has a similar interface as Kajabi when it comes to creating online courses and learning management systems. You get access to a plethora of tools to customize everything and take care of your members. You can use the GrooveVideo app to communicate with your audience through videos. GrooveMember allows you to manage your membership website from one place.

The membership feature is inbuilt in ClickFunnels, which allows you to create online courses. The only flaw with its membership feature is that you don’t get an inbuilt payment gateway or registration forms. But it allows you to create lead generation pages, sales letters, downsell & upsell pages, and thank-you pages. With their inbuilt shopping cart feature, you can sell your ecommerce products safely.

Verdict: The strongest suite of ClickFunnels is that it can easily convert visitors into paying customers. At the same time, GrooveFunnels is excellent at selling different products; still, it is not better than ClickFunnels.

4. Payment Gateway

GrooveFunnels offers a personal payment-related app called GrooveSell. You can quickly receive payment with it, and you won’t need to integrate with any third-party apps. You can offer your visitors four different methods: Credit card, PayPal, PayPal risk mitigation, and GrooveSell payments. It also allows you to integrate GrooveFunnels with any third-party app for payments.

There is no in-built payment gateway available on ClickFunnels. You will need to integrate third-party apps into your account to receive payments. You get to add three payment gateways in the basic plan. You increase this number up to 27 with the platinum plan of ClickFunnels. Stripe is the common payment gateway on ClickFunnels.

Verdict: GrooveFunnels is much better than ClickFunnels when it comes to payment gateway because it offers an in-built payment gateway called GrooveSell.

5. Marketing Features

GrooveFunnels is a one-stop solution for marketing automation. You get plenty of features to achieve your marketing goals. GrooveSell is one of them, and it is the only feature you will need which quickly excels ClickFunnels. You can easily receive payments, create dynamic thank-you pages, create unlimited funnels, upsell & downsell pages, and so on with GrooveSell. 

With GrooveBlog, you can create as many blogs as you want. The GrooveAds app lets you manage your Facebook, Google, and YouTube ads. You get a powerful autoresponder feature with GrooveMail.

ClickFunnels is purely a sales funnel builder, and it does not offer a complete solution for marketing automation. The conditional split feature works as if-else in programming where you send emails on the basis of your customers’ actions.

To get access to the email marketing feature of ClickFunnels, you need to buy the platinum plan. The Actionetics feature is one of its unique features. You can see all your engagement activities with this feature on the dashboard of ClickFunnels. The autoresponder feature of ClickFunnels is called Follow-up funnels.
